LEGO Invention System

The Robotic Invention System is a LEGO set consist of 1,722 parts which allow building of real robots that move and obey your commands. The 3D building instructions interface makes the design work and construction work fast and easy. The robot can be built from imagination and three robot constructions samples are given.

Hardware

The Robotic Invention System are built from 1,722 parts of LEGO pieces, with electronic IO such as DC motor, push button, sensors etc. RCX microcomputer – the brains of your robot allow the IO control by attaching sensors, motors, and gears to the RCX.

Software

The Robotic Invention System firmware is written using the Special 3D instructions from the RIS CDROM. The program will guide the user to create a program that makes your robot act on its own at your command. RIS 2.0 features a simple, easy to master interface. Six Pro Challenges and “Big Blocks” programming make complicated models a snap to program. You'll be amazed by what your creations can do!
